Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you might want to know about our teas, from what's in the bag to how it gets to your door. If your question isn't here, email us at offhourherbs@gmail.com and we'll reply within 2 business days.

ABOUT THE TEAS

Q: Are Offhour Herbs teas caffeine-free?

A: Yes. Every blend is made from flowers, roots, fruits and seeds, not from the Camellia sinensis tea plant, so they are naturally caffeine-free. That makes them an easy choice for the afternoon or evening.

Q: What is "Eastern herbal tea"?

A: It's a style of botanical infusion rooted in Chinese and East Asian tea culture, where ingredients such as chrysanthemum, honeysuckle, goji berry and ginseng have been brewed and enjoyed daily for centuries. We blend them for taste and balance and pack them in individually wrapped tea bags.

Q: What's in each blend? Are there any additives?

A: Only the botanicals listed on each product page. No added sugar, flavorings, colors or preservatives. The full ingredient list, net weight and serving size are printed on every box and shown on the product page.

Q: Are your teas vegan?

A: Three of our four blends, 18-Herb Classic Tonic, Ginseng Solomon's Seal Goji and Honeysuckle Jasmine Chrysanthemum, contain plant ingredients only. The Red Ginseng Rose blend includes ejiao (donkey-hide gelatin), a traditional animal-derived ingredient, so it is not vegan. The Herbal Dictionary Gift Set includes all four.

Q: Where are the teas made?

A: All blends are produced in our own manufacturing facility, quality-checked batch by batch, and stocked in our U.S. warehouse for domestic shipping.

BREWING AND SERVING

Q: How do I brew a cup?

A: Place one tea bag in a cup, pour in 200–300 ml (about 7–10 oz) of hot water and steep for 3–5 minutes. A shorter steep gives a lighter cup; a longer one is more pronounced.

Q: Can I re-steep the same bag?

A: Yes. Each bag can be brewed several times until the flavor fades. Many people get two to three cups from a single bag.

Q: Can I cold-brew it?

A: Yes. Add one bag to a bottle of cold water and leave it in the fridge for a few hours. Cold-brewing gives a smoother, lightly sweet cup, especially for the floral blends.

Q: How many bags can I drink per day?

A: These are food-and-beverage products enjoyed as part of a daily routine. Because each blend combines several botanicals, we suggest adults keep to no more than two bags per day. The recommended limit is printed on every box.

Q: Do the teas taste bitter?

A: No. The blends are built to be smooth and naturally sweet. Floral blends are light and clean; ginseng blends are warmer and more grounding. Add a little honey if you prefer it sweeter.

Q: How should I store the tea?

A: Keep the box sealed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong odors. Use by the best-before date printed on the pack.

SAFETY AND SUITABILITY

Q: Is Offhour Herbs tea safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

A: Our teas are botanical beverages, not medical products, and we don't have safety data for pregnancy or breastfeeding. We do not recommend them for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Please ask your doctor before drinking any herbal tea during this time.

Q: Can children drink these teas?

A: Our blends are formulated for adults. We do not recommend them for children under 14.

Q: I take medication or have a health condition. Can I drink your teas?

A: We can't give medical advice. If you take any medication, are managing a health condition or feel unwell, please talk with your healthcare provider before adding a new herbal tea to your routine.

Q: Do your teas treat or prevent anything?

A: No. Offhour Herbs teas are foods enjoyed for their taste and the moment they create. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and they are not a substitute for medical care.

Q: Are there any allergens?

A: Ingredients are listed in full on every product page. People with known plant allergies (for example to the daisy family, which includes chrysanthemum) should read the list carefully and check with their doctor if unsure. The Red Ginseng Rose blend contains ejiao, an animal-derived ingredient.

ORDERS, SUBSCRIPTIONS AND SHIPPING

Q: Where do you ship?

A: We currently ship within the United States from our U.S. warehouse. Standard U.S. shipping is free on every order.

Q: How long does delivery take?

A: Orders leave our warehouse within 1–2 business days and usually arrive in 3–7 business days depending on your location. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships.

Q: How does the subscription work?

A: Choose "Restock" on any product page to receive that blend automatically every month (or every 3 months for the gift set) at 15% off the one-time price. You can skip, pause or cancel any time from your account. There is no minimum commitment.

Q: What is your return policy?

A: If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, email us within 14 days with a photo and we'll replace it or refund you. Because tea is a food product, we can't accept returns of opened boxes. See our Shipping & Returns page for full details.

Q: Do you offer wholesale?

A: Yes. We work with specialty retailers, wellness studios, gift shops and cafés across the U.S., with tiered pricing and U.S. warehouse fulfillment. Apply on our Wholesale page and we'll respond within 2 business days.

Q: How can I reach you?

A: Email offhourherbs@gmail.com or use the form on our Contact page. We reply within 2 business days, Monday to Friday.
